Call for hospice volunteers

The impressive surroundings of Wiston House, near Steyning, were the backdrop for the evening in aid of Sussex hospices.

Dinner was provided for 90 guests, music was provided by Glyndebourne soprano Thomasin Trezise and Mr Brandreth conducted an auction.

Event chairman Sir Patrick Cable-Alexander said it was also important in terms of raising the charity’s profile in West Sussex.

He added: “Friends of Sussex Hospices would very much like to attract more volunteers in West Sussex to support our fundraising activities and also help raise awareness of the outstanding care our hospices provide.”
