BREAKING NEWS: Penland Farm application for 210 homes in Haywards Heath rejected

Mid Sussex District Council’s planning committee members have just unanimously rejected a controversial application for 210 new homes on more than 72 acres of farmland in Haywards Heath.

Planning officers had recommended the proposal by Catesby Estates and the trustees of the neighbouring Grade 11* Listed Borde Hill estate for approval.

However, members have gone against their officers’ recommendation.

It is likely the decision will now be appealed.
