Botanical artist hosts exhibition

Sally Crosthwaite, a trained botanical artist, has been awarded a distinction for botanical illustration and an RHS gold medal for her paintings of flowers in the iris family.

The painted items were for sale, including cards, mugs and wastepaper baskets as well as many
of Sally’s life-size paintings of tulips,
sweet peas, hellebores and many more.

A dinner service features her agapanthus painting, and four of her tulips were chosen for a Limoges dinner service.

The exhibition and sale was well attended, with visitors and guests coming from across the country to appreciate her work.

Sally’s work is biologically correct as well as beautiful.
