Callous thieves made off with Bosham Primary School’s sign in October and now ten-year-old pupil Alex Webb has written a letter to residents around the Bosham area, pleading with anyone who has information to help him return the sign.

Alex’s letter reads:

“Thieves have stolen our sign!

I would like to tell you about a terrible thing that has happened to our school.

Last year, the children at Bosham Primary School spent a day designing a unique sign to represent our amazing school.

Everybody in our community helped us with our project, parents, governors and local businesses.

We wanted to make a very special sign to go up outside our school to show people of all ages all the great things we do and how we learn.

One of my ideas was chosen by our class to go on the final sign.

I was so proud, and even prouder when I saw the final sign looking spectacular outside our school!

And now the terrible thing...

Can you believe that somebody has stolen our sign?

How could anyone do such a despicable thing?

All the children and teachers are devastated.

The saddest thing is that our special sign has probably been sold as scrap metal, so we will never see it again.

Can you help us?

We are appealing for any information that could help us find out precious sign.

If you know anything please, please contact our school.”
