Blaze destroys Pulborough home.

A West Sussex family tried desperately to stem a blaze on ntheir £750,00 barn conversion home while waiting for the fire service to arrive on Thursday evening.

The blaze happened at the Pump House, Crase Farm, in Blackgate Lane, Pulborough.

Mrs Anna Scrase was on her way out for the evening,at around 8.30pm, leaving her sons Harry (seven) and Rupert (five) at the four-bedroomed home with her husband Nicholas, when she saw flames coming out of the roof.

As she ran back into the house, the smoke alarms went off and the family ran out of the house.
