The motorcyclist who died on the A29 at Bury on Sunday (August 24) has been named by Sussex Police.

He is William Phillip Frederick Ruewell, of West Chiltington Lane, Billingshurst.

In a tribute, William’s parents Philip and Barbara described him as their ‘beautiful young man’.

They said: “William was our dearly loved only son and a loving brother to Lydia and Ellie.

“He was triumphant over everything except the one thing that claims us all. He was our beautiful young man.”

William, 20, was riding a Honda VFR 800F motorcycle when he was involved in a collision with a Volvo V40 hatchback at around 4.30pm.

The 69-year-old car driver from Bermuda was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has been bailed until September 1.
