Big money for little Maxwell
In January this year little Maxwell Smith was diagnosed with mitrochondrial disease, a muscle wasting disease. On June 16 Andy Baron, Maxwell’s great uncle, along with Andy’s son James, took part in the London to Brighton cycle ride and raised in excess of £2,000.
The money raised will go towards the costs of caring for Maxwell at home. Andy works for Iverson Tyres and his bike was kindly donated by Bridgestone.
Maxwell Smith has finally returned home after spending seven months in hospital. To read Maxwell’s brave story and his parents arduous journey to return him to their Thakeham home, pick up this week’s County Times out tomorrow (Thursday, August 8).
