AlphaPet hands over fun day cash

AlphaPet veterinary clinics have presented two charities with cheques after raising thousands at a fun day and dog show earlier this year.

Guide Dogs and Catastrophes Cat Rescue each received a cheque for £1,390.

A total of around £2,780 was raised at the AlphaPet event, which was held in August. The sumwas split between the two chosen charities.

It was attended by around 2,500 people, and 203 dogs entered the dog show.

‘Brie’ Burchett, a bulldog, won the title of Best in Show and ‘Coco’ Goodman, a westie, was named the winner of Reserve Best in Show.

Charlie Sampson, one of the qualified nurses from AlphaPet who helped to co-ordinate the dog show, met with representatives from each organisation to present them with their giant cheques.
