Dr Carl Walker is in the process of setting up a National Health Action Party Sussex group, which will be based in Worthing.

He explained: “The party is a group of like-minded individuals who strongly support the original principles of the National Health Service (NHS) and have been disappointed by the appearance and the passage through parliament of the Health and Social Care Bill.

“The intention is to use our group as a forum to share important local NHS information and work together, too, to raise public awareness about the damage done to our NHS and to put this high on the local agenda.”

Dr Walker said his own focus would predominantly be Worthing and Shoreham, but the group will be open to people from all over Sussex.

“I already have a number of interested people from East and West Sussex. So, we will have people ranging from Eastbourne to Chichester but with the majority between Brighton and Worthing,” he added.

“I’m hoping to recruit as many interested people locally as possible.”
