A27 reopens after police deal with incident

Police officers have dealt with an incident on the A27 at Arundel.

Chichester Police said, just before 9am today (Tuesday, April 20), that a lane closure was in place due to a broken down vehicle.

A spokesperson said: "Currently on scene with a broken down motor vehicle eastbound on the A27 roughly a mile past Fontwell.

"Lane one closer in place, awaiting recovery."

According to traffic reports, the stalled vehicle on A27 Chichester Road was affecting traffic between the A29 and A284 Arundel Bypass.

Police confirmed at 10am that the vehicle had been recovered and the road was fully open.
