New barbers in Pulborough has cutting edge in modern world

Blakes Grooming is run and owned by industry expert Carl Blake, who has more than 30 year in the trade.

The previously two time nominated men’s hairdresser of the year and long standing WAHL artistic team member is offering a bespoke men’s hairdressing experience and traditional wet shave.

The new premises in Lower Street brings a quality barbering experience into the busy modern world with a slick online booking and payment system.

Blakes Grooming originally opened in West Chiltington five years ago, but has recently moved to new premises in Pulborough as part of an ongoing expansion of the brand.

Carl, who as well as running the business also travels the world with WAHL, working on stages to showcase his skills, said: “We are delighted to open our doors in Pulborough after a hugely successful few years in West Chiltington.

“We have set up a great customer base and are looking to expand the business further, bringing our friendly and professional service to many more customers.

“So many people travel to the bigger towns because they believe that the only place to get a great haircut is there. By setting up Blakes Grooming in the smaller towns, we offer the best service and best haircut right on your doorstep.”

Separating Blakes from the rest of the industry is their convenient and time-saving appointment service. Everything is booked either by telephone or online via their unique app, cutting out any waiting times.

Carl added: “It’s a great system as customers have complete control of their appointments and there are no annoying waiting times.

“You can download our app via the App Store or Google Play and it’s all done in a couple of clicks. We have an online payment system coming in imminently as well

“I have a great team here and I have just taken on a new apprentice as well. Staff training is very important and we have the highest standards. The shop has been really busy and I am are extremely keen to expand the team as soon as possible, so I’d be really keen to hear from anyone interested in joining us.

“We also have big plans in the near future to open more men’s salons in the West Sussex area.”
