Grattons Indoor Bowls Club is celebrating its 30th anniversary and is looking for former members to help celebrate.
The club was formed in 1983 with 700 members, including players and social members.
By October, it was ready to play its first important match which was against Sussex County Indoor Bowls Association (SCIBA).
Despite being the new boys, Grattons won 134-115.
On October 23 this year, Grattons will play SCIBA again – 30 years almost to the day.
Sixteen of the original members are still part of the club, as are very many of the founder members’ children and grandchildren.
The current President of SCIBA, Alan Hilton will be playing – he is in this photo (back row, centre with dark hair).
Liz Toop, of Grattons, said: “We are looking forward to this match and to the one the following week, 27 October, when some members of Grattons will be playing for SCIBA against Berkshire Indoor Bowls Association.
“We would love to meet up with any of the men in the picture, or their families, particularly on either of the above dates.”
