Dream home for local couple

Having lived in West Wittering area for many years, Mike and Valerie Farrant were keen to remain near family and friends when they decided to move to a more manageable home.

Although they’d kept an eye out for suitable properties for many months, it wasn’t until they spotted the four bedroom detached houses at the Barratt Homes development, Sandpiper Walk, that they put their plans into action.

“We wanted to move closer to the village as it has everything you need, and now we don’t even have to use the car to pop to the shops!” says Mike. The couple had owned a new home before, so they knew about the extra benefits that buying brand-new brings.

“You start with a blank sheet,” Mike adds. “We like the neutral colours and having new carpet throughout, as well as all the tile and kitchen finishes. This house is really warm, too thanks to all the insulation.”

Valerie agrees: “It’s lovely that everything is so new with all the convenience of new bathrooms, a new boiler and of course the new kitchen. The Barratt warranty is fantastic and takes the worry away from whether anything needs doing so we can just enjoy living here.” There is an additional ten-year NHBC warranty in addition to Barratt’s own peace of mind policy.

Sandpiper Walk has proved extremely successful with almost all the homes already sold.

The final four detached houses have now been released for sale through selling agents Henry Adams.

‘The Cambridge’ design features four double bedrooms with an ensuite to the master bedroom, an open plan kitchen/breakfast/family room, study, and its own garage.

Prices start from £499,995 and buyers may be able to benefit from Barratt’s generous incentives or take advantage of the government’s Help to Buy scheme.

The Farrants have quickly settled in to Sandpiper Walk, says Valerie. “We’ve already bought a few new things for the house and put a few shrubs in the garden. We’re looking forward to spending the new year planning and planting our new garden and will enjoy that very much.”

For further information or to visit Sandpiper Walk, contact the show home on 01243 513549 which is open from Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5.30pm, or call in to your local Henry Adams office.
