The following are the latest results contributed by HM Courts Service, for cases sentenced by West Sussex Magistrates’ Court sitting at Worthing and Crawley from August 7 to 13, 2020.

Steven Gardner, 30, of Rochester Close, Durrington, was given a community order with Mental Health Treatment Requirement and Rehabilitation Activity Requirement after admitting breaching a non-molestation order by making contact in Worthing on September 19, 2019, despite it being prohibited; and breaching a non-molestation order by making contact and harassment in Worthing on December 4, 2019, despite it being prohibited. He was also given a restraining order and must pay £95 victim surcharge, £310 costs.

Daniel Kelly, 36, of Pratton Avenue, Lancing, was fined £425 and must pay £42 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting drug-driving (3.3ug/l Delta-9-THC) in Arundel Road, Worthing, on December 3, 2019. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months.

Marius Nomeika, 31, of Terminus Road, Littlehampton, was fined £120 and must pay £32 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting drink-driving (87mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood) in Linden Road, Littlehampton, on April 2, 2020. He was disqualifed from driving for 12 months.

Lewis Buckland, 23, of Esmonde Close, Littlehampton, was given a community order with Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and must carry out 150 hours’ unpaid work after admitting three charges of drug-driving (76ug/l cocaine, not less than 800 ug/l benzoylecgonine and not less than 468 MDMA) in Middleton Road, Middleton, on December 26, 2019; and failing to stop after an accident in which damage was caused to another vehicle in Littlehampton on December 26, 2019. He was disqualified from driving for 18 months and must pay £90 victim surcharge, £85 costs. He also admitted driving without insurance in Littlehampton on December 26, 2019, no separate penalty.

Charles Bennison-Giles, 24, of Ormanton Road, Lewisham, was fined £120 and must pay £32 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting drug-driving (6.8ug/l Delta-9-THC) in Marine Parade, Worthing, on December 27, 2019. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months.

Martin Bishop, 44, of Strand Parade, The Boulevard, Worthing, was fined £530 and must pay £53 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting drink-driving (201mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood) in Brighton Road, Lancing, on February 28, 2020. He was disqualified from driving for 20 months.

James Brownell, 29, of Upper West Drive, Ferring, was given a 20-week prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, with Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and must carry out 100 hours’ unpaid work after admitting driving while disqualified in New Road, Littlehampton, on February 18, 2020. He must pay £122 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and was disqualified from driving for 18 months. He also admitted driving without insurance, no separate penalty.

Taylor Evans, 19, of Barnet Way, Durrington, was fined £100 after admitting possessing one gram of cannabis, a class B drug, in Worthing on February 26, 2020. He was fined £150 after admitting driving without the correct licence in Rectory Road, Worthing, on February 26, 2020. He was fined £300 and must pay £55 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting driving without insurance in Rectory Road, Worthing, on February 26, 2020. His driving record was endorsed with six points.

Garry Keen, 58, of Seaview Court, Rowlands Road, Worthing, was fined £184 and must pay £32 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting driving without due care and attention in South Farm Road, Worthing, on January 21, 2020. His driving record was endorsed with seven points.

Toby Brookes, c/o Bayford Road, Littlehampton, was fined £120 and must pay £32 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting drug-driving (not less than 14ug/l cocaine) in Wick Street, Littlehampton, on December 4, 2019. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months. He also admitted two further charges of drug-driving (not less than 169ug/l benzoylecgonine, not less than 5.4ug/l Delta-9-THC) in Wick Street, Littlehampton, on December 4, 2019; driving without the correct licence and driving without insurance, no separate penalties.

Harvey Green, 21, of Boundstone Lane, Lancing, was fined £346 and must pay £34 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting possessing 40g of cannabis, a class B drug, at Hill Barn Recreation Ground, Worthing, on March 21, 2020.

Kieran Comper, 31, of Kilhams Close, Broadbridge Heath, was given a community order and must carry out 100 hours’ unpaid work after admitting assault by beating in Worthing on February 9, 2020. He must pay £200 compensation, £90 victim surcharge, £85 costs.

Darren Nye, 45, of Warren Road, Worthing, was given a community order and must carry out 40 hours’ unpaid work after admitting two charges of assault by beating in Worthing on February 9, 2020. He must pay £100 compensation, £90 victim surcharge, £85 costs.

S D Electrical Contractors, of Albion Street, Southwick, was fined £660 and must pay £66 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after being found guilty of failing to identify the driver of a Renault Traffic when required by Sussex Police in Shoreham on October 30, 2019.

Louis Merrick-Hill, 19, of Horsham Road, Findon, was fined £250 and must pay £32 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting driving without insurance on the A27 Worthing on September 1, 2019. He was disqualified from driving for 30 days.

Hannah Crawford, 34, of Delaney House, Selden Road, Worthing, must pay £35 compensation after admitting stealing two bottle of alcohol worth £35 from Sainsbury’s, Crawley, on January 6, 2020.

Ionut Alacu, 23, of Granada Road, Southsea, was fined £660 and must pay £66 victim surcharge, £85 costs after being found guilty of driving without insurance in King Edward Avenue, Worthing, on June 11, 2020. His driving record was endorsed with six points.

Liam James, 21, of Rotary House, Beachcroft Place, Lancing, was fined £25 and must pay £85 costs, after admitting stealing screenwash and an air freshener worth £4.50 from Halfords, Rustington, on October 7, 2019. He was given a community order with Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and fined £25 after admitting assault by beating in Shoreham on October 30, 2019. He must pay £100 compensation, £90 victim surcharge, £85 costs.

Joseph Murray, 23, of Grover Avenue, Lancing, was given a community order with Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and must carry out 120 hours’ unpaid work after admitting causing £600 damage to shop windows and stock at Mulberrys, Lancing, on February 26, 2020; stealing several bottles of wine from Mulberrys, Lancing, on February 26, 2020; causing £600 damage to cars on the forecourt and windows at Circle Garage, Lancing, on February 26, 2020; and failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis when required at Worthing Custody Centre on July 8, 2020. He must pay £2,307.82 compensation to Mulberrys and £744.54 compensation to Circle Garage. He was disqualified from driving for 36 months. He also admitted failing to stop when directed by a police constable in Henfield on July 8, 2020, no separate penalty.

Kerry Kidwell, 27, of Shadwells Close, Lancing, was given a community order with four-week curfew, electronically monitored, from 7pm to 6am daily, and Rehabilitation Activity Requirement after admitting fraud by dishonestly making a false representation, setting up catalogue accounts in another person’s name, intending to receive hundreds of pounds worth of clothes for herself in Lancing between October 1 and 31, 2019. She must pay £300 compensation.

Luke Goodge, 30, of Plaistow Road, Loxwood, was fined £80 and must pay £32 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting failing to provide a specimen of blood when required in Worthing on April 2, 2020. He was disqualified from driving for six months. He was also fined £120 after admitting driving without insurance in Winchester Road, Worthing, on April 2, 2020.

Iulian Huides, 39, of Chippers Road, Tarring, was fined £120 and must pay £34 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting drink-driving (53mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath) in Rowlands Road, Worthing, on May 9, 2020. He was disqualified from driving for 14 months.

Marius Simionel, 39, of Old Shoreham Road, Portslade, was given a community order and must carry out 100 hours’ unpaid work after admitting drink-driving (100mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath) in Old Shoreham Road, Southwick, on March 18, 2020. He must pay £90 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and was disqualified from driving for 25 months.
