Rounders is a popular sport in local schools and is highly adaptable to fit to different circumstances and the club will be exploiting these advantages.

A new girls (aged 14 and upwards) and women’s section is running at Collyer’s Sixth Form College in Horsham on Wednesday nights from 6pm to 7.30pm.

It costs £3 per session or £2 with a Leisure Access Card.

The summer session in Horsham Park in Horsham will also be back for boys and girls aged 11-16 years on Tuesdays from 6.15pm to 7.30pm.

Horsham District Council’s Leisure Link Head Coach Hannah Bacon and Assistant Coach Helen Cain are both looking forward to developing players in this great sport which blends fun, fitness and friendship in a unique way.

So come to Horsham Rounders Club sessions this summer and, as per Rounders England’s mantra – ‘chuck it, whack it, leg it and smile!’

Horsham District Council’s cabinet member for arts, heritage and leisure, Jonathan Chowen, said: “It is great to hear of this new investment for rounders in our District.”
