West Sussex coronavirus cases increase by almost 200 in a month
The number of coronavirus cases in West Sussex has risen by almost 200 over the past month, Public Health England figures show.

As of 4pm this afternoon (September 4), there have been 2,993 confirmed cases of coronavirus, or covid-19, in West Sussex since the start of the pandemic.
It marks an increase of 180 cases since August 5, when there were 2,813 confirmed cases.

Hide AdAccording to Public Health England, there are 1,741 cases confirmed in East Sussex, plus 892 in Brighton and Hove.
In total, 342,351 people have tested positive for the virus in the UK, with 743 requiring hospital treatment - 76 of whom are on ventilator support.
