GCSEs: Tanbridge House School ‘delighted’ with results.

A statement from the school said that these excellent results mark another year on year improvement for Tanbridge House School and support the school’s Outstanding status, awarded by Ofsted in November 2012.

Amongst the impressive results, there were a number of standout students including Aidan Marks, 16, who was thrilled to achieve 13 A* grades and 1 A grade.

He said: “I’m so pleased with these results. I worked really hard over the past two years and getting these grades is just brilliant.”

Aidan told the County Times that he will be going to Collyer’s to study Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.

Natassia King, 16, was also delighted with her result. She received 12 A* and four A grades.

She will now be going on to Collyers to study Biology, Chemistry, Maths, Further Maths and Psychology. She said: “I’m so happy with my results. I’m sad to be saying a proper goodbye to Tanbridge now but am looking forward to going to Collyers in September!”

Her plans for the future include going to study medicine at university, hopefully going on to specialise in paediatrics.

Leader of Year Kirsty MacKay said: “This year group worked incredibly hard to achieve these fantastic results and I am so proud of each and every one of them. I wish them nothing but the best for the future.”

Headteacher Jules White was thrilled with the results. He said: “I would like to congratulate all of our hard working students on these excellent results. My thanks also go to my colleagues who have supported with such professionalism and dedication.”

He commented that GCSE results day is a ‘massively important’ one for their pupils, and for the school itself.
