Routine pet vaccinations across the UK were suspended as part of the strict pandemic rules in spring and early summer 2020, which could mean that some owners have inadvertently let their pet’s vaccines lapse.

To help encourage existing customers and those new to the practice, vet Sophie Hall at Meadow Hall Vets is offering a two dose re-start vaccination process, with customers paying for vaccine one (combined with an all-round health check). The second dose will be free.

Not only will vaccinations help keep animals healthy, up-to-date inoculations are vital if you use dog walkers, doggy day care or boarding kennels and catteries.

Sophie said: “We know this has been a really difficult year for everyone, emotionally and financially, and here at Meadow Hall Vets we want to do our bit to help. Our new vaccination programme can help with that, but the service we offer all year round puts your pets, and you, at the heart of everything we do.

“We aim to offer people in the local community the best possible service, whatever their situation.”

Jan Sadler, lead receptionist at Meadow Hall Vets, a new practice based in Thakeham near Storrington, says caring for pets and humans is very much the practice ethos. And you’d be hard pushed to find a more pet-friendly practice in West Sussex

Heading the team is owner Sophie, a fully qualified vet who has lived in Thakeham most of her life. She’s passionate about animal care, and wanted to set up her own practice, filled with people who felt the same way she did about animal care.

Hannah Glasspool, Sarah Lane and Ruth Silvester, the veterinary nurses, between them have experience of animal hospital work, large animals, exotics, and small animals.

Finally the reception team is led by animal lover Jan Sadler and her Jackapoo Benji, who writes a weekly blog for all the newshounds in the area.
