Businesses in East Street, Chichester, have been suffering problems since Saturday (June 6), according to city centre manager Charlotte Wickins.

A spokesman from the power company said: “It’s a fault in an underground cable. It’s affecting about 20 different properties. We’ve been trying to keep people up to date as much as we can.

“We would like to apologise for any annoyance or inconvenience this has caused and we’re doing everything we possibly can to get the power back on as quickly and as safely as possible.

City centre manager Charlotte Wickins said she believed around seven businesses had been affected.
