Horsham shop and drop for Cancer Research UK

Cancer Research UK is appealing for donations of unwanted clothes, books and accessories.

Horsham’s Tesco Extra, in Wickhurst Lane, is accepting clutter and bric-a-brac from today until Sunday September 29.

Cancer Research UK donation bags and Gift Aid forms are being handed out in stores this week. By returning a completed form with their bag of items, shoppers can boost the value of their donation by an extra 25 per cent.

Lynn Daly, Cancer Research UK spokesperson for Sussex said: “Many of us have items tucked away in cupboards and drawers that we have been meaning to donate but haven’t yet found the time.

“Now customers can drop off their bags when they come in to shop. By linking up with Tesco stores in this way we hope to make donating as easy and convenient as possible for people.

“It would be wonderful if everyone who popped in to a participating Tesco store next week could bring a bag of things they no longer need. All donations will be gratefully received; even a book, scarf or an old handbag filled with accessories will help us stock our shop shelves.

“Every bag received could be worth as much as £25 to Cancer Research UK and even more with Gift Aid.”
