MPs Gillian Keegan and Damian Hinds joined Petersfield mayor Cllr Phil Shaw and deputy mayor Cllr Clist at the site on Friday, May 21.

The opening weekend saw just under 500 visitors, including members from Harting Parish Council, who braved the wet and windy weather to experience life on a working deer farm.

“They’ve balanced education and fun perfectly, if you’ve never stood near a very large herd of deer, then I’d recommend you visit.”

Mr Hinds added: “I was delighted to attend the opening of Sky Park Farm and meet the team behind the new venture. It is great to see old traditions brought back to life in such an innovative way, sharing knowledge about modern deer farming but also supporting local suppliers through the shop and café.

“New attractions like this are great for the local area, and I am sure visitors will not only enjoy learning more about the breeding and farming practices used to raise the deer, but also the opportunity to try venison alongside other local produce.”

Visitors to the family-owned farm are welcome to view the deer at close quarters and picnic in the parkland. The phased opening will include the Adventure Playground opening in June and the Farm Shop, Butcher and cafe opening in July.
