VIDEO: Steyning resident celebrates 100th birthday

Steyning resident Norman Checkley celebrated his 100th birthday yesterday (Thursday March 21) surrounded by friends and a special guest.

The Deputy Lieutenant of West Sussex Col Richard Putnam, was on hand to give Mr Checkley a card from the Queen.

Mr Checkley served in the RAF during World War II and has had a long association with Steyning, especially the Methodist Church.
