Writer Lesley Pearse, who has sold more than seven million books, will be reading extracts and signing copies of Forgive Me later this month.

The novel, named as one of the newspaper’s most popular hardback fictions last week, is based on a deeply-buried family secret which unravels after a woman finds her mother dead in the bath.

Lesley will be speaking about her book in Horsham at 7pm on Tuesday March 26.

Lionel Barnard, County Council Deputy Leader responsible for the Library Service, said: “This is a one-off chance for readers and budding writers to hear first-hand from one of the country’s most popular authors.

“Lesley will be answering questions about her new book as well as how she became a writer.”

Tickets for the events cost £3 each and are available from either branch.
