Jack and the Beanstalk attracted more than 30,000 people to the venue during its three-week run.

Audiences took up 90 percent of the available seats for the show starring EastEnders’ bad guy Steve McFadden as Fleshcreep, the Giant’s henchman, alongside CBeebies’ Rebecca Keatley as Fairy Sugarsnap.

Spokeswoman Lorraine McGregor said: “The success of this hit pantomime is perhaps down, in no small part, to the perfect blend of ingredients for a festive family treat – produced, once again by Evolution Productions (who brought Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty to Crawley). Audiences were treated to comedy, audience participation, amazing sets, special effects and, of course, huge giants and a break-dancing cow.”

“Feedback from audiences throughout the run was incredibly positive,” Lorraine continued, explaining that some people simply couldn’t wait for next year’s show.

“Although there’s nothing we can do about the wait for Peter Pan in December 2016, you can book your tickets now by calling 01293 553636 or visiting www.hawth.co.uk.”
