Jazz club’s seventh season

Now in its seventh season, West Chilt Jazz Clubs promises the UK’s best bands in concert at the Village Hall, Mill Road, West Chiltington.

Spokesman Keith Rushton said: “With professional sound and stage lighting the shows have been a hit from the first concert in October 2004.

“On Tuesday March 6, we present the outstanding jazz vocalist Mellow Avstreih with the seven-piece Elite Jazz band, playing a range of Dixieland, blues and swing favourites .

“The band includes outstanding musicians, with Ben Cummings (trumpet), Ian Bateman (trombone), John Hallam (reeds), Tom Kincaid (piano), Rachel Hayward (guitar), Tony Sharp (bass) and Nick Millward (drums).”

There is a licensed bar, free parking and the show starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are £8 from Cherilyn Stores in West Chiltington, the Card Centre in Storrington, or telephone Keith on 01903 742914.
