Capitol Theatre commemorate decade since re-opening

Chairman of Horsham District Council (HDC) Philip Circus congratulated the Capitol Theatre on 10 years since re-opening in 2003.

The first film to be shown then was ‘Calendar Girls’ and it was shown last to commemorate the decade and also as part of an evening devoted in part to raising money for leukaemia and lymphoma research which raised over £1,000.

Mr Circus said: “Before the film started, I congratulated the theatre on its 10 year re-opening anniversary and gave a belated welcome to Nick Mowatt who has now been there 5 months.

“I made the point that the surveys which give a very high rating to Horsham as a place to live do so in large measure because of the facilities we have in the town and that the Capitol Theatre makes a substantial contribution to that.”
