CRAWLEY was the place to be in the mid-1960s, a place with a thriving music scene at the heart of which were The Reejeks.
The band, and yes, that's the right spelling, built up a substantial following in those quondam days when it was great to be young and making music.

Bill Barrett, a key member of the band, would love to relive those heady days. He's harbouring plans for a Reejeks reunion.

"We were one of the local bands, and there were quite a few at the time. We did open air in London and we had a few nice club contracts in London too. We also played a lot of local pubs in Crawley.

"We were playing 60s covers stuff at the time. We did Stones and Beatles and everything that was going. We had interviews in the local papers."
