A WEALTHY retired property developer described in detail how he planned to kill his wife while a patient at a Chichester psychiatric hospital, a resumed inquest was told on Tuesday November 4.
Roger Goswell (66) killed Susan (63) then himself last year.
Mrs Goswell's body was found at their West Chiltington home on December 23. Mr Goswell crashed his Smart car into a tree in Monkmead Lane, near West Chiltington, that same night and later died at Worthing Hospital.

But just weeks before the tragedy, while a patient at The Harold Kidd Unit, Mr Goswell told a member of staff how he had planned to remove part of his bed and hit Mrs Goswell over the head during her visit on November 29, 2007.

Stephen Barry, the manager of Orchard Ward where Mr Goswell was a patient, told the inquest Mr Goswell said he then intended to stab his wife before taking his own life.
