THE Fittleworth Open Garden Trail takes place this year on Sunday, May 4 and Monday, May 5.
There will be 13 gardens open on Sunday and 14 on Monday, all between 2pm and 5.30pm

Tickets can be bought from the village hall and all participating gardens on the day at £5 per person with under-12s getting in free.
Tickets bought on Sunday are also valid for Monday. On each ticket is a map of the village showing the garden locations and each garden will have its own sign outside to identify it.

The trail offers people the chance to view some fine Sussex gardens, ranging from the large to the small, informal to formal, walled gardens, greenhouses, wild gardens, beautiful plants and lovely views across the Downs.

As well as the gardens – some of which also open for the National Garden Scheme – there will also be refreshments, teas, ice creams, plants, produce and crafts for sale at various locations including the village hall.

In addition, ploughman's lunches will also be on offer at the village playgroup behind the village hall from 12.30pm until 2pm.
