WITH Splash Point being given a new-look, the Herald takes a look at what could have been.
The sculpture Suncloud has sparked debate, from its £70,000 price tag, to its shape and form.

When the Herald ran a readers' vote in February, 80 per cent of those who responded didn't think it was money well spent.

The cost of the new look is being covered by a government grant, but many would like to see the money spent on more services around Worthing.

Then there are the fans who welcome the design as innovative and enhancing the area.

Now the Active Beach Zone consultation is underway – click here for more information – the Herald wants to know what readers' think of the alternatives rejected by the council in favour of Suncloud.

Have your say

Two sculptures had a sound of the sea theme, another had parasols, and one designer created a splash, handbag and pineapple.

Which one would you prefer or do you think the council made the right choice?
