NOW the class of 2008 have picked up their GCSE results with record passes and A* grades, exams are often described as too easy.
Herald and Gazette series sub editor Tony Mustard certainly didn't find this maths O level paper easy when he took it in 1958.
Even though he was a grammar school boy, the young Mr Mustard could not master the subject and pass his exam.
To show how difficult it was Tony brought his old maths paper to the office so the editorial team and readers can have a look and see how they'd manage.
