Another high quality line up of comedy is poised to perform at Danny’s Comedy Club for its latest show at the Birch Hotel in Haywards Heath, next Friday, 30th August.

In spite of the recent hot weather, Danny’s continues to grow in popularity. Said one reviewer; “Went to the Birch Hotel last Friday, and had a brilliant evening’s entertainment for £5! Came home on a natural high - will definitely be there next month, with all my friends - do come!”

Sussex-based Comedy producer and owner of the Club, Daniel Kington said; “The last show proved another huge success and I can promise everyone an even more powerful line up next time. At the same time as offering real value for money, we cultivate a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere that greatly benefits both the performers and the audience. With the passing of Tim French’s superb concerts, we need to do all we can to bring live, professional entertainment to the area. After all, people work very hard and deserve an opportunity to let their hair down with their friends and relatives without trekking to Brighton or London to get it.”

The choice of locating to the Birch Hotel has proven to be a popular one for Daniel. Prominently located on the A272 at the head of the new Relief Road it offers comfort and style and a hospitality team unrivalled anywhere in the area. Said Daniel; “They’ve even laid on a proper Green Room for the Acts to relax and prepare for their sets. Last month they even served up focaccia bread dipped in olive oil. It was actually a mistaken restaurant order but I didn’t let on. For comedians used to far more Spartan arrangements, the look on their faces was a picture.”

There are no fewer than seven acts and a singer appearing at the Birch Hotel on 30th August:

Headlining is rising star Omar Hamdi, a professional comedian with a thoroughbred pedigree. Omar has supported A-list stars Russell Kane, Ava Vidal on tour and the great Milton Jones, all heroes of BBC’s Mock the Week and Live at the Apollo. A regular sell-out at the Edinburgh Fringe, he was a recent finalist at their So You Think You’re Funny awards. He regularly gigs for massive corporate events like GlaxoSmithKline, Oxfam and Ernst & Young where he co-hosted with Nick Clegg’s wife Miriam. Affable and incredibly funny, Omar Hamdi’s is a name that you will definitely be hearing again.

Adrienne Coles has made a rapid progression on the comedy scene, presenting her own night of stand-up in Bournemouth, Rib Tickler Comedy.

A full-time comic since 2010, John Pendal is bringing to Danny’s Comedy Club a wealth of experience and a great pedigree. He has performed in ten countries and at 33 cities in the USA including the New York Comedy Club.

Eddie Twist was raised on a small farm in Cornwall where he was the only Goth in the village. Now as an adult, Eddie Twist has found his natural home on the comedy circuit where his unique background and outlook give his comedy a colourful perspective.

He appeared onstage at the O2 with Lee Evans during his Big tour and has appeared on Russell Howard’s Good News and playing rock star Bono on BBC’s John Bishop’s Britain.

Mark Cram is making his name on the UK comedy circuit scooping numerous awards and competition accolades. Mark has supported the likes of Gary Delaney, Shazia Mirza, Nick Helm and Isy Suttie.

American Jennifer Belander has been described as “a woman on the verge...of what? Nobody is quite sure yet... one to watch.” She is also an accomplished actress with a string of TV, film and theatre appearances to her credit.

“Sharp and Funny,” the legendary Danny Hoy comes to Sussex to perform his famous non-stop punathon. In 2007 he reached the Amused Moose finals at the Hackney Empire as well as new act finalist at the Reading Festival.

Tania Rodd has performed in the West End and across the UK, including performances at the House of Lords and some of the Royal Jubilee events. She has appeared at venues in Europe and the United States in musicals, shows and concerts.

Doors open at 7.30pm with curtain up at 8.30pm.

The Club features comfortable, cabaret-style seating, a very reasonably priced bar, good food and ample, free parking onsite. Admission is £5 on the door.
