Bass player talks about life in music

Guy Pratt is The Sideman in a one-man show celebrating 30 years as the bass player of choice for the heavyweights of rock and pop.

Guy performs at The Capitol Studio in Horsham on Friday, May 24.

The Grammy Award winner has been a crucial member of the rhythm section of mega stars such as Pink Floyd, David Gilmour and Womack & Womack.

He has also been a favourite studio bassist and accompanying singer for the biggest recording artists including Madonna, Michael Jackson and The Pretenders.

His one man show is all about life at the pointy end of the music business; Guy regales audiences with stories from behind the scenes.

This is an evening that is both funny and frank with enough insiders’ references to satisfy even aficionados - and he’ll be bringing his beloved vintage Fender bass to demonstrate his craft.

Tickets for this show cost £14. Call the box office on 01403 750220 or log on to www.thecapitolhorsham.com.

The show starts at 8pm.
