FORMER Upped Beeding parish council chairman Joyce Shaw won an election in the village.
Mrs Shaw had come out of retirement from the council to stand in Thursday's election.

She recorded 297 votes to beat Donna Bailey, who picked up 277 votes. Becki Davoudi received 196 votes in the election, after a 32 per cent turnout in Upper Beeding.
