See Moorcroft Centre’s excellent work

A CHANCE to see the excellent work being done to retrain and re-home ex racehorses at Moorcroft Racehorse Welfare Centre, Slinfold, is being offered this Saturday, April 14. There will be a demonstration of these retrained horses being ridden at the centre at 11am, followed by Adam Shereston giving a demonstration of his amazing horse whisperer work from the ground.

All proceeds go to help horses at the centre. Cost is £10 per seat. Please book on 07929 666408. Refreshements will be available and there will also be a second hand tack sale.

The centre has recently rehomed Teaatral, who has gone to a home in Hampshiore, while Marsool will be living in Arundel and Stroppi Poppi is going to Worcestershire. Three new horses have recently arrived to take their place. They are: Mr Pink, previously trained by Richard Rowe; Ravenclaw, a winner for trainer Emma Lavelle and Tommy Tucker. A series of Tuesday evening healing courses will be run at Moorcroft,starting on Tuesday May 1 at 7pm when Ellen Collinson, an iridologist will speak about healing with herbs and assessing horse ailments through the eye.

Adam Sherston, horse whisperer, will work with indiviudals, horse and carer to explain healing through work and communication on Tuesday May 8 and Sue Newport. a healer, will speak about Healing for Everyone on Tuesday May 15. Jenny Wilson, physiotherapist, will identify common problems in the ridden horse from a physio point of view on Tuesday May 22, while Elizabeth Whiter will demonstrate how horses self select plant material to medicate themseleves, when she speaks about healing with herbs on Tuesday May 29. All courses start at 7pm and the cost for each if £15.
