Youth rugby: Horsham dominate in Crowborough win

editorial image

Horsham Under-13s kept their fine season going with an emphatic 48-0 win over Crowborough.

In cold and wet conditions Horsham dominated the game with the forwards repeatedly punching holes in the Crowborough defence and setting up quick, clean ball which was used effectively by the backs.

In all elements of the game; kicking, defence, attack and the set piece Horsham were on top and tries came from clever kicks over the top, forwards battering defences with Jonathan Stanway catching the eye, backs passing the ball out wide and an interception in the midfield from Dan Longo.

Crowborough battled hard but struggled to match the physical intensity and clinical finishing of Horsham. Next up is a trip to Chichester which looks like the game to determine who will meet Brighton in the final.
