Worthing under-17 head coach Jack Roberts wants his side to treat Sunday’s final as just another game and not be overawed in the 12,000 capacity AJ Bell Stadium.

He said: “It’s really exciting to be in a National Cup final. All of the boys are really looking forward to it and it will be a massive occasion for them.

“Despite the occasion, we have just been trying to tell them to treat it as they would any other game they play.

“York have done well to reach this stage as well, so we are expecting a really difficult match.”

Worthing’s under-17 side narrowly beat Tonbridge and Sevenoaks on their way to the final and Wendy Dingle, colts manager, told englandrugby.com: “The occasion’s going to be so huge and so great for them, what an experience it will be for the rest of their lives.

“They’re nervous but very focused, very excited and looking forward to the challenge. The one thing is that we don’t know anything about our opponents and I’m sure they’ll be the same about us because we’re an awfully long way apart.”
