Fairways lose ground to Special K after setback

Crawley Pool League Premier Division leaders Fairways turned in a lacklustre display, taking just seven poiints against a midtable team who are making their debut among the elite this season after gaining promotion last term, the Pocket Knockers.

That result and the fact that Special K (pictured), had the well below-par Fu Cues, meant they could capitalise.

Just two points separate these two talented teams and with seven matches to go will make the remaining nailbiter. The Rockets have joined the Downsman, Copthorne and Barracudas to form a four-way title race in Division 1.

Rockets have moved top of the table by two points, followed by Barracudas and then the Downsman. Division 2 sees the Grasshopper creep a further two points ahead now clear.

See next week’s Crawley Observer for the latest results from the Observer Knock Out Cup and Windmill Consolation Shield semi finals.

Division 1: Rockets 10 Windmill 3, Furbergers 2 Labour 11, Imperial 2 Mavericks 11, D.Soldiers 6 Casablankas 7, Downsman 5 Barracudas 8, St Llama 6 Copthorne 77
