School’s dressage teams do well

THE dressage teams at Burgess Hill School for Girls received rosettes in both their classes in the ASET National Schools Equestrian Association’s (NSEA) competition at Blue Barn Equestrian Centre in Ashford, Kent. Each team was required to field two riders in the Prelim test and two in the more technical Novice test.

The standard of riding was very good and Burgess Hill School’s Sky team, consisting of Sarah Rogers (riding on Ruby), Alice Reffin (Swallow), Rachael Hawkins (Monty) and Johanna Lawless (D’Jill) finished in second place.

The school’s Navy team, comprising Eleanor Reffin (Blue), Sarah Rogers (Lady), Rachael Hawkins (Alfie) and Freddie Driscoll (Ernie) finished in fourth place.

Rachael Hawkins also received an individual second place in both classes. Sarah achieved an individual sixth place in the Prelim whilst Alice achieved sixth place individually in the Novice.
