OUR local rugby teams are back in action this weekend after a brief Christmas break.

Chichester have been in flying form in their first season in the National League and go into 2015 in a highly-creditable second place.

They fly to Guernsey this weekend, hoping to increase the problems being suffered by the hosts, who are bottom of National three London south east.

The Blues’ next home game is Saturday week, when Tonbridge Juddians visit Oaklands Park.

Bognor, like Chichester, are second in their league and they visit Hellingly this Saturday before hosting Farnborough a week later.

Midhurst go to St Francis this Saturday and host Heathfield & Waldron seconds a week later.

See next week’s Observer for the latest reports.
