Pony club’s success at Nationals

THE Lord Leconfield Branch of the Pony Club enjoyed considerable success at the recent Pony Club National Championships held at Draycott House, Derbyshire over five days.

The dressage team, consisting of Fi Dallyn, Tom Lane, Katherine Morris and Candice Payne finished third in the Open Dressage Championship, where Fi Dallyn was third individual in her arena, Tom Lane was fourth in his and Katherine Morris sixth individual.

In Open Eventing - Tom Lane finished fourth while Laura Schroter won her section. Other pony club members who had qualified for the championships after some fine performances were- Paul and Laura Schroter in Intermediate Dressage, Katherine Morris in Intermediate Eventing, Amelia Shotter and Ailsa Wates in Intermediate Show Jumping - which was an excellent achievement for the club.
