FORMER double Olympic champion and last year’s Badminton winner Mark Todd will be among a host of top riders competing at South of England International Horse Trials, at the showground Ardingly, West Sussex, on 14-15 April. Todd will ride one of his London Olympic hopefuls.
Husband and wife duo Lucinda and Clayton Fredericks, who between them have won Badminton, Burghley and the World Cup final, will also be vying for top prizes here, while Rolex Grand Slam winner and double European gold medallist Pippa Funnell will ride several of her horses over the course of the weekend. Olympic gold medallist Kristina Cooke, as well as Francis Whittington, Emily Llewellyn and Emily Baldwin are all expected to take part.
There will also be many other International riders from America, New Zealand, Italy, Australia, Brazil and Belgium who will also be out with top horses.
