Sidlesham rider Leah Bradley and her horse Brigadier have successfully completed their 100-mile ride across the South Downs Way to raise money for St Wilfird’s Hospice in Chichester. So far their effort has raised more than £1,000 for this worthy cause.
“This year is St Wilfrids 25th anniversary and it is also my 25th Wedding anniversary. I’ve had Briggy for 20 years, so it seemed that if we were going to do this, it should be now before we get really old!” said Leah.
Both horse and rider finished safe and well, with no saddle sores on either.
St Wilfrid’s Hospice is close to Leah’s heart because she has been working in the housekeeping department for the last two years.
Riding the South Downs Way has been one of Leah’s long-standing ambitions and it was fitting she should do it with Briggy, a rare Dale breed, who has been with Leah since he was just a few months old.
Money is still coming in and Leah hopes to achieve her target of £2,000. You can still donate at www.justgiving.com/Leah-Bradley
