HICKSTEAD’S sixth arena polo season gets underway this month, and to mark the beginning of the season the All England Polo Club will be hosting two open weekends.
The club opened its doors last weekend and again this coming weekend on November 5/6, and everyone is welcome to go along and experience first-hand what arena polo is all about.
The polo open weekends offer the perfect opportunity to enjoy a drink, view the facilities, plus meet the members and club personnel, HPA instructors and our stable of rental ponies.
Visitors will learn all about the many tuition opportunities from short courses and ‘Discover polo’ lessons, to instructional chukkas, challenge matches and tournaments. Chukkas at the open days are entirely free of charge, and all the polo staff will be present to answer any questions in relation to livery, polo corporate days, social events and general AEPC club-life.
For those who enjoy the social side of the sport, the arena-side clubhouse is ideal for a day out and a taste of the après polo fun that Hickstead is famous for.
