Olumpic gold medallist Maddie Hinch has been named Female Goalkeeper of the Year.
The 28-year-old saved four penalties as Great Britain beat the Netherlands in a shootout to win Olympic gold in Rio and is currently in India at the National FIH awards (Federation International Hockey) where she was given the award.
The West Chiltington hockey star will also be at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday February 28 to receive her MBE.
Maddie's mum Catherine said: "It's a perfect end to what has been a outstanding year for Maddie and Women's Hockey. Following Maddie's magnificent personal performance in Rio, she has gone on to be a true ambassador for her beloved game, winning numerous awards & accolades - truly a National Heroine!"
.GB women's coach Danny Kerry and assistant coach Karen Brown won the world's best male and female coaches.
