TWO local racecourses are aiming to increase their attendances by cutting the price of advance admission to just £10 for the majority of their fixtures.

Brighton and Fontwell Park Racecourses have introduced the reduced price tickets for 75 per cent of the 42 race meetings that take place between the two venues.

The £10 ticket offer is for the Grandstand and Paddock Enclosure at both courses and must be booked at least 24 hours before the race meeting. On the day, the admission price is £15.

There is flat racing at Brighton from April through to October and jump racing at Fontwell Park every month of the year apart from July. The two tracks are operated by Northern Racing, one of the biggest racecourse groups in the UK.

The £10 advance offer is available for most midweek afternoon fixtures as well as some weekend and evening meetings. Children aged 15 and under go free of charge at all race meetings.

Phil Bell, Northern Racing’s Executive Director for the South East, said: “We have decided to reduce the advance booking prices to encourage more people to come and enjoy a day at the races.

“There are more than 30 fixtures to choose from across these two fantastic Sussex courses and £10 is exceptional value for money. I am sure the offer will be extremely popular.”
