Fontwell Park plans a bumper two-day festival

Fontwell Park Racing Festival returns in its second year over two days next month. Along with seven races on each day, there is also a great programme of live entertainment celebrating the Best of British.

It opens with Fuller’s London Pride Raceday on Friday October 5 with live Madness band Los Palmas 6 performing before and after racing The feature race of the day is the Fuller’s London Pride Handicap Steeplechase,won last year by Rio Gael. The first race is at 2.10pm and the last at 5.35pm.

Southern Water Charity Raceday takes place on Saturday October 6, with live music after racing from From The Jam featuring original Jam member Bruce Foxton. The feature race of the day is the Southern Water Handicap Hurdle, won last year by E Major. Admission tickets are available at £15 each or £25 for a two day pass. The first race is at 2.20pm and the last at 5.45pm.
