Crawley Kyokushinkai Karate Club star Dawid Ozga added the title of English Lightweight champion to his growing list of achievements in this full contact sport.

Still only 20 years old he seems to go from strength to strength and is about to travel to Germany with his team-mate Darren Chan to compete for Great Britain in the European Championships.

Darren also acquitted himself very well taking second place in the Middleweight losing by split decision.

Both now have a final push in their training before flying to Berlin.

The club had three other participants all who performed very well.

Blake Collins was very unfortunate to break and dislocate his toe in his opening bout and was stopped by the doctor from continuing. Both Richard Casella and Tomasz Wercznski lost by decision.
