Crawley boxer Ben Jones has earned himself a crack at a major European title.

He has been promised to fight for either the EBU or the WBC European Super featherweight championships.

Jones proved himself by comfortably winning two comeback fights in February.

He beat Slovakian Elemir Rafael and Georgian Giorgi Kulumbegashvili both in the third round recently at two shows in Camden and Harrow.

Jones, 32, said: “This year I’ve needed to move on. My recent wins have pushed me back to move towards World honours. My life is boxing and I’ve rediscovered my enjoyment for the sport.”

Jones will feature as a top of the bill event at the York Hall in Bethnal Green in East London in July in front of millions of viewers on TV channel Eurosport.

Before that he will be fighting a warm-up bout at Bournemouth on Friday, April 17 and plans to have an after-fight party at a hotel for his fans.

Tickets priced £35 and £65 for the Bournemouth fight and sponsorship opportunities are now available from Ben on 07720 045566.
