Twickenham U18s 5

Crawley U18s 20

A converted penalty from Fraser Thompson broke the deadlock and constant Crawley pressure saw Twickenham’s line-out turned over.

Crawley captain Craig Mansfield caught and chipped the ball through the defence and beating everyone to score under the posts, Thompson converting.

This led to a Twickenham fightback and a prolonged period of stalemate eventually gave them the platform to work the phases and cross Crawley’s line for five points just before the break.

Twickenham were eager to dominate in the second half and pinned Crawley into their own half.

But Crawley regained both their composure and territory.

Jack Scott crashed over for the the score before Thompson squeezed over in the corner to add to his tally.
